InView offers manufacturers the opportunity to:
- be compatible with the new Teletext service
- benefit from the Teletext promotional campaigns which are taking place starting in Q3-2007
- earn recurring revenues from both legacy and new Freeview products
InView provides the manufacturer or their software partner with the software modules required to enable their products to receive the new Teletext Extra service. The modules are supplied royalty free, InView also supports the manufacturer to integrate them. A typical integration cycle takes approximately 3 man months.
InView and Teletext are jointly responsible for broadcasting the service, managing the advertising and providing a point of contact for the customer.
The software has been developed to run on both new and legacy products, including STBs, PVRs and iDTVs. In addition to adding this into future products the manufacturer can upgrade products already shipped over the last few years.
Manufacturers receive a revenue share from all compatible products. Alternatively the manufacturer can exchange the revenue share for a share of advertising space in the guide, thereby offering the manufacturer a means to advertise new products directly to their existing customers.
For the first time, InView offers the CE manufacturer the opportunity to monetise their existing base of STBs, PVRs and iDTVs or alternatively obtain free advertising targeted directly at their existing customers.
From Q3-2007, Teletext will be promoting the new Teletext Extra service. 
Part of the promotion is a retailer awareness campaign to ensure that retailers order product that supports the new service. Once retailer and consumer awareness has been established, it will be difficult for manufacturers to supply Freeview products that do not support Teletext Extra.
