TV viewers to get blockbusters on demand from acetrax and inview technology

Acetrax, the multi-region digital movie retailer, will be launching its TVOD movies service across the UK, France, Italy and Germany via the Inview Technology connected TV service this Spring. The Acetrax movies App will offer viewers using the Inview platform access to an unrivalled range of blockbuster movies, without being tied in to a subscription service.

The Inview service runs on Tier 2 TVs and set-top boxes, turning these low cost products into connected devices. This revolutionary software is currently being rolled out across Europe, with developments in the pipeline across South America and Asia, and is forecast to be present in over 100 million homes by the end of 2014. The Inview service includes a fully integrated royalty-free electronic programme guide (EPG), media browser and personal scheduling tool. All content – from both broadcast and broadband sources – is seamlessly delivered via the EPG, making the connected TV service easy to access for all.

Grooveshark and Inview Technology launch music app on connected tvs in major european countries

Grooveshark, the largest globally-available online music streaming service, and Inview Technology (Inview) a pioneer of EPGs and interactive services, today announced an agreement to launch an app for millions of connected TV sets in major European countries allowing users to stream their favorite music directly to their TV.

Inview's revolutionary NEELiX platform is incorporated in millions of TV sets and includes a fully integrated electronic programme guide (EPG), media browser and personal scheduling tool, offering a streaming capability, that allows for on demand services as well as other added value consumer applications. Grooveshark's services offered on the NEELiX platform will provide users with unprecedented access to their favorite music, allowing them to play songs on demand, make playlists, and control it all from their TV set. Consumers using the Grooveshark App will also be offered one complimentary month of Grooveshark Anywhere service, allowing their music synchronized with Grooveshark on the web, mobile phones, and connected TVs.

On Demand Group and Inview Technology to launch video-on-demand on connected tvs in major european countries

On Demand Group , the world leading video-on-demand (VOD) aggregator and subsidiary of SeaChange International , and Inview Technology (Inview), today announced an agreement to launch both transactional video-on-demand (TVOD) and subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) services on millions of connected TV sets in major European countries, starting in Italy in the second quarter of this year.

Inview's revolutionary NEELiX platform is incorporated in millions of TV sets and includes a fully integrated electronic programme guide (EPG), media browser and personal scheduling tool, offering a video streaming capability, that allows for on demand TV services as well as other added value consumer applications.

On Demand Group VOD services offered on the NEELiX platform will provide viewers with unprecedented access to the latest blockbuster movies available on a TVOD basis, and a vast library of on demand TV content available on an SVOD basis including popular TV series, children's programming, classic movies, and the latest music videos. Consumers will also have the enjoyment of watching content on-demand with full control to pause, rewind, fast forward or watch over.
